Mole Removal

If you have a mole on your face or body that impacts your self-esteem, causes discomfort, or that you were advised to remove for medical reasons, mole removal may be a good option for you. During this fast procedure, we numb the area and gently remove the mole in its entirety so it doesn’t grow back. There will be stitches in the operated area for approximately 1 week.

While sebaceous and epidermoid cysts are relatively harmless, they are often a cause of cosmetic concern. Our team uses skill and expertise to delicately remove cysts in their entirety so they don’t grow back, all the while aiming to reduce scarring.

Scar Revisions

Has a previous accident or surgery left you with obvious scarring? Our scar revision procedure will improve the appearance of your existing scar. During the procedure, we remove the old scar along with any remaining scar tissue. Then, the area is stitched back together in a thin, fine line. You can expect a fast recovery time and minimal to no scarring.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I be under general anesthesia?

No. Our mole and cyst removal and scar revision procedures are outpatient and performed in our office with local anesthesia.
Will the mole grow back?

No. We remove the mole in its entirety — including the root — to ensure that it won’t grow back.
How long will I need to wear steri-strips?

We advise you to wear steri-strips (thin adhesive bandages) until the area is no longer pink, which usually takes around 2-6 months. Steri-strips should be replaced whenever they fall off or become very dirty.
Can I take a shower after the procedure?

We ask that you keep the area dry for the first 24 hours. Thereafter, you can take quick showers until the sutures are removed.
Can I go swimming?

No. Please refrain from swimming until after the stitches are removed.
Will I be left with a scar?

While we can’t guarantee there won’t be any scarring, you will be left with a thin, fine line that is easily covered with makeup. The scar won’t be indented or raised.
If I had a procedure done in my mouth, can I eat afterward?

Please avoid chewing for 3 hours after the procedure. You should also avoid salty, spicy, and acidic food for 3-4 days after, as well as abrasive foods like chips. It’s a good idea to rinse with water after meals for the first few days.
Is the cyst or mole tested for abnormalities?

Yes. While cysts and moles are usually benign, we do send the removed tissue to a lab to test for abnormalities,
